Appraisals

Insurance, estate planning, family distribution, and charitable donation appraisals require the expertise of recognized experts. In addition to our in-house specialists, we have associations with top experts in a variety of specialized categories, from antiquities to modern and contemporary art, including photography and decorative objects, ensuring that an appraisal from Lark Mason Art Advisory meets the highest standards of the appraisal profession. Lark Mason, Jr. is the President and Certified Member of the Appraisers Association of America and is USPAP certified (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice), the highest recognized certification of the appraisal profession. He has over 40 years of experience in conducting appraisals for works of the finest quality. He and his staff of experts are available to speak at professional appraisal seminars and conferences on topics relating to the international art market and appraisal of fine art and antiques.

Collections Management

Collections management services require expertise both about art and the wider market conditions. We work with corporate, institutional, and private art and antique collections to assist with assessing current collections, buying or selling pieces, and analyzing current market conditions.

Brokerage

Institutions, corporations, and private collectors may need to sell their collection in part or as a whole. We work with major auction houses and dealers. The most important aspect of art brokerage is the goals of the client. We work with our clients to achieve their goals, vet the collection, find the most appropriate market and get the best terms and price on our clients' behalf.
